Color Consulting

My color work range:

  • residential doorway
  • interior rooms
  • exterior spaces
  • roof colors/materials
  • store fronts
  • multi-unit apartment buildings.

Sometimes we think the problem is color alone; most often it’s more layered – too many doors, the wrong furniture placement, identifying changing space needs; taking a fresh look free of the history and politics of friends and family. I translate the client’s concerns and dreams using not only color, but space design, lighting solutions and furniture editing.

I thrive on the challenge of delivering color and design solutions that bring the room to life. Often the assignment includes limited time and budget with the painter standing in the doorway waiting for a list of color chips and finishes.

“Her understanding of color use in our house has turned out to be spot-on. I recommend Robin Cowley for even the smallest color question you might have.”

RR in El Cerrito, CA

“Robin Cowley came out to my house and right away I felt comfortable with her. Not only did she give me great advice for the entry, but she noticed and commented on some other things in the living room. I love all the changes I’ve made based on her recommendations. You should use her!”

PM in San Ramon, CA

“I couldn’t believe how quickly she came up with just the right colors for my home. Plus, she gave me great ideas for lighting and window treatments.”

Inspiration

Color consulting inspiration often comes from travel, taking photographs and architectural building lines.
