The mysteriously appearing Crop circles are so fascinating to me -- hoax or not. Conversely, farmers form crop circles when planting their fields. The irrigation wands roll from a central pivot point to water the crops. They're all part of the impetus for my doing the Cropped Circle Series. Many other mysteries of the earth contributed as well: Stonehenge, rock carvings, figurative intaglios made by early cultures, a Led Zeppelin album cover. The circle shape is repeated over and over again in so many ways throughout time. I merely carry on.
