Out There 15" X 15 X 1/2" This fanciful look at planets was inspired by my hand-dyed black and white cotton which turned out looking very lunar. The red planet in front of the moon projects half an inch off the face of the piece (using black foam core board). Applique, fusing, hand-dyed and commercial cotton fabrics, surface textured with stitching. An original design. On national tour during 2004 and 2005 with the exhibition Fine Focus '04.
