Bourbles
Bourbles, n: A thing of beauty; an ornament.
These are a group of pieces I did using hand-dyed and printed fabrics that are cut, layered and stitched. Each has been mounted in a shadow box measuring 12” square, and is ready for hanging.
Okay, here’s the inside scoop: I coveted these gorgeous fabrics, and pondered what would be the best use? They seemed to me like “jewels” and I wanted to treat them as such. I remembered a comedy with Anne Margaret playing a Russian temptress. She couldn’t pronounce “baubles and beads” and ended up saying “I love BOURBLES.” Voila! Here are my Bourbles.
